located on an 8-mile loop just outside Gatlinburg, where
more than 70 artists and craftsmen demonstrate their skills
and offer their products for sale--including pottery makers,
woodcarvers, candle makers, quilters, weavers, broom makers,
and painters, among others. Downtown Gatlinburg also is
home to the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts, right
across from the aquarium. Arrowmont offers spring and summer
classes on a range of skills. Their galleries are open
for touring throughout the year.
